Entry # 11 - Teacher as a Role Model of Character

Finally, my final post for this semester! I want to start this blog by thanking my Field Study professor, Ma'am Darlina Formoso and my E - 4En family who reads and comments on my blogs. T'was really a great journey, from the first hour on my FS1 down to the last of FS6. I have learned a ton about the teaching profession, I also met a lot of people like principals, teachers, students, school janitors and security guards. Call me cheesy, but I really appreciate all of it, every bit of it.

Now, let's talk about being a teaching and a role model of character. Personally, I find this the most challenging because character is what builds and defines you not only as a teacher but also as a human being. There is this saying that we are the foundation of the society 'cause we handle bodies and souls inside the classroom. To be a parent is pretty hard, what more if you have 30 plus students to guide. I have a lot of realizations while writing this blog, one is that we should value time. By valuing time we will be more cautious about our words and actions. This may make or break our students.

In addition, we future teachers should always be keen and alert of our surroundings because we are always with students. Students are like living memory drives, they remember your movements, choice of words, and even habits. We should always keep in mind that we are their second parents, that we should look after them as if they are blood.

Thank you for you time reading my blogs. Stay tuned for more, cheers!
