Entry # 8 - Elements of Teaching

The elements of teaching are all crucial and vital in the teaching-learning process. It somehow define whether the student will learn or not. These elements cannot be present without each other, meaning they are codependent. There are basically five (5) elements in teaching, these are the teacher, learners, instructional materials, learning environment, and the professional behavior of the teacher. First is the teacher, I will also tackle the professional behavior of the teacher which is another element here in this paragraph. The teacher was the center of the teaching-learning process, but that was way back. In today's time, the student is the center of the process, but I will tackle that later. Formerly, the teacher seems to be the source of all the knowledge, that he is the one and only provider. Entry # 7 - Discipline and Procedures

Wong's focal point in this lecture were discipline and procedure inside the classroom. Discipline is just something that comes natural when a good classroom manager takes over the class. It is how the students generally behave inside the classroom. On the flip side, procedure is how the teacher executes his strategies and techniques inside the classroom, more of like the flow and step by step process. Implementing discipline inside the classroom has should have some sort of a reward or merit if they have done the task or activity well or a penalty or demerit if they have done the task wrong. This will reinforce the minds of the students to exert their very bests when doing an activity inside the classroom. Classroom management is crucial for it holds the key whether your student will actually learn something or just hear you inputs on one ear and release them to the other side. Entry # 6 - Educational System of ICTHS

Information and Communication Technology High School or ICTHS is a school found the heart of of San Fernando, Pampanga in Sindalan. It also happened to be my alma mater, nothing makes me more proud to say that because I know first hand the quality of education that the school offers. The school mostly uses the English language, occasionally Filipino and Kapampangan in other subjects and casual conversations. The school offers Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS). Even the school is public and the government funds it, it maintains a standard.  Incoming grade 7 students undergo two written tests and one final interview. Once studying the students should maintain an 85% average and no grade should be lower than 80 in any quarter or they will be candidates for deliberation. In the SHS department, they only offer the STEM track. The school offer elective subject too like Journalism for 8th graders, Analytic Geometry for 9th graders, and Calculus and Mandarin Language ...
